Greater London Demolition are continuing their work with Barratt Homes at West Hendon, as we have been award the contract for Phases 3 – piling works & demolition works. The contract is to run from December 2016 to May 2017. With the success of the previous phase, we will have no trouble sticking to this deadline to complete the work ready for the new build homes.

Demolition Works

GLD are acting as Principal Contractor throughout the project and the demolition works include a of a row of 6 storey shops and flats that also require asbestos removal. The demolition of 195 & 197 West Hendon Broadway including asbestos removal, and all necessary scaffold protection and hoarding will be in place to protect the public.

The next task is to carefully separate 197 from 199 West Hendon Broadway. We will be designing, supplying and installing all the necessary temporary support works to 199 that remains.

Piling Mat & Attendance Works

Bulk excavation and installation of a 750mm thick piling mat will be required of us on 3 levels over approx 5800m2. Pile probing for obstructions for contiguous piling and the removal of any obstructions found. Piling attendance on 2 piling rigs and the removal from site of all piling spoil.
