Greater London Demolition has started the demolition work at Hampstead School in Westbere Road, Cricklewood.
The contract for this job was won via Wates Construction with whom they have a superb working relationship due to GLD’s professional and safety conscious work practices.
The project has a number of different buildings that needs to be demolished and dismantled, all containing their own challenges. The existing boiler house needs to be removed along with the careful extraction of existing fuel within the tanks. The 1960’s classroom block will be dismantled in its entirety including all hard landscaping, fixed furniture and equipment. The foundations will also need to be removed to a depth of 1.5 meters.
Greater London Demolition will recycle any demolition arisings on site, ready to be re-used for the future development of the school.
The project will take around 10 weeks to complete and will be carried out with qualified operatives and an excellent health and safety stance.
